Tough Morning on Big G
Fished from 7:15 till 10:30 when rain ran us off. Caught 4 crappie ranging from 10 to 12 inches the first hour. Rest of morning was spent fighting off the white and yellow bass (dink stripes) attack that happened. If the crappie bite was as good as the stripe bite could have limited out in a few hours. At times my fishing partner and I had as many as 5 stripes on the lines at one time.

How were you fishing?? Long lining or spider or under a bridge?? and how deep? Id say at least you got in one last "good day" before the polar express hits starting tonight thru wed!!

Slow trolling at about 3 feet off of bottom in anywhere from 12' to 20' using BG Monkey Milk and Bluegrass. Bite was very light. If you weren't holding the rod you wouldn't know you got a bite. Yea, it's probably a no go for fishing until last of week. Looks like maybe more rain next weekend too though.

We got skunked no crappie but the catfish were on and we lost 2 poles not paying attention .I hope my wife does not read this she wanted me home and her warm arms instead I lost 60.00 bucks in fishing gear.

Tough luck on loosing the poles especially after catching no crappie.
