Chickamauga Lake 11-07-2014 Crappie "Windy"
I have begun the step program. My name is Kingfish and I am a Crappieholic. I know I can not possibly use another Crappie but I want just one more!
Mr. 3 lb'er and I blasted off this morning and fished the first half of the day. The wind was whipping. Did I say the wind was blowing? Hard to hold position in order to fish. We pressured on in spite of the wind. Did I mention the wind was blowing?
Early in the day we caught Crappie off docks (13 caught with 8 keepers). About the middle of the day I suggested we check one more spot on our usual Milk Run. We picked up 13 keepers off of one blow down. 4 times we caught 2 at a time! What a hoot. 30 minutes later we were loading the boat back on the trailer. Total for the day 30 caught with 21 keepers.
The water temperature was 56*-58*. The best color of the day was anything with chartreuse. BGBS.
