I don't tie as much as I once did so I have a lot of projects that can't get from my mind to the bench. Last couple of years I have used something similar to these on the dropoff of the river channel on the local lakes. They were basic and drab in color and all I could think of was that they resembled bluegill or shellcracker fry. Whatever it was they worked real good til they got hung and said goodbye. Tied on 1/8 and 1/16oz with the collar left but the barb removed, I tied these for the ledges and the Smallies cuz they love a bluegill dinner too. The hooks are heavier than usual because of the Smallies and I believe them to be 1/0 or 2/0 in black chrome. The paint will do but I had hoped for better. 4 have a chocolate brown base while the others have a pumpkin brown instead. I'll post if and when I get them wet, I have high hopes.
