One of Those Days

It was one of those days...:banghead
First thing, I took off of work to go fishing this morning out of jack millers where I had done well last weekend. I was up at 4 this morning in anticipation of the beautiful day to come, when I heard a rustle in the back of the house...uh oh. My 3 yrs old woke up nauseated with a fever, mom had her in the shower ready to throw up...great. My day off to fish turned into a day of taking care of sick child. Thank goodness mother in law came at noon to pick her up, and I was out, on the way to the launch. It was a beautiful afternoon on the water. But every good fish I hooked got off, I mean every one, I caught the little guys...I changed my hook about three times. Oh well. Tried bass fishing...broke off three times...Dang it. I blew out my flip flop (seriously) tripped fell on my console and broke the visor right in half...doh!!!
Then right before I decided to chalk the day up as a complete failure, it happened...I mean I was on the phone with my wife telling her about how things just weren't working out and I was heading home, and THUMP! I hooked a goodun! It is absolutely crazy how one single fish can turn a forgettable trip into a memory...:cool::cool::cool:

Also, Ran into Sacalait DA out there and it sure was a pleasure to meet him and his dad. We had a fine conversation on the water. I wound up catching that nice fish on that top we met at. It is the top pictured below...

Lol. I've had several of those days this year. With six kids in my house we've had stomach virus passed around at least four times this year. I took my son fishing about a month ago and he threw up in my boat and truck.

What a day. Funny I blew out a flip flop fishing last week. Glad I had some sun screen for my white stripe. Hope that baby feels better.

Your daughter got sick, but was well cared for and recovered. You fell, but didn't get hurt. You spent the day in beautiful surroundings, enjoyed a visit with old friends, and caught a big fish. Not a bad day at all.
Hope you daughter is doing well and no one else comes down with the bug.

Gonefishing...It was a great meeting u too! It was a beautiful, but slow day! Caught enough to fry up with the squirrel sew from a short hunt I made this morning. Fried sac-a-lait, squirrel gravey and LSU football. ..r u kidding me!!!! It just can't get too much better! God bless!

Man that is some good looking vittles. Those are the 2 best tasting wild creatures on the face of the earth. As soon as I get my eyes fixed I'll be looking to pot me some bushytails.
