My first 3 jigs..
Attached is a pic of my jigs. I still need to work on making the final tye with the whip finishing tool, but hopefully that will come. Also having a problem with the marabou wanting to move around to the side as i start to tye it.
Any suggestions/tips would be greatly apprecaited...

Looks pretty good so far for your first ones. The whip finish tool is really easy once you get the hang of it. Check youtube that's where I learned to use mine. Welcome to the addiction, feel free to ask anyone questions on here. A lot of really good tiers on here that are always willing to help.

Look good for your first ones - maribou will spin on you, if you put a thread base down it won't do it so much. Hopefully you're using a marterelli whip finisher as the thompson style whip finisher can be a pain. I find myself doing a hand whip finish more and more.

Hmm, not sure what kind of finisher I have, will have to check on it. Thanks for the info.

For me, the hardest part is that my thread gets caught on my jig head.

Ties look great! I like the blue color. To keep from getting caught on the jig head all the time simply make your triangle bigger to let the head through. It takes practice but comes easy later on. Good luck!

nice ties, love the color combo's
good job sir

Nice job, great first ties, now.....join a jig swap, practice makes perfect and all are welcome. You will get a great learning experience and receive some outstanding jigs as well. Better yet, host a swap as many participants tend to sneak a few great goodies for the host along with their jigs...

you did a good job on your Jigs I definitely like the blue and chartreuse to gather.
