Last time I put in at Jacks Bay we had to use the sand bar south of the ramp and it was tough. We fished the bayou up to dry lake with good success. I would say if the water color is good and its at a point you have to use the sand bar conditions are good. Now I could launch at the ramp but could not get threw a narrow sandy channel but that may all look different now with floods etc.. It was about 3 years ago. Contact Reruns Bait Shop in Dewitt and ask a few Q's he may can help you out. Good Luck.
Sweet! Thanks for the info.
Had to put in at the COE ramp today, usually you can put in at the sand bar but still to low for that. My 20 min boat ride turned into a 40 min ride.
Any luck blue thunder?
We didn't fish but did kill a mess of tree rats! Attachment 175965Attachment 175966
Are you talking about the ramp farther down river at the canal that connects to the arkansas?

Yea take the road on the left past wild goose store and it's at the end of the road. When you put in its only a few hundred yards to the benzal bridge
