10/6 Coffey county

Hit CCL this morning. Started on the south end. Marked fish in 20 fow 14 ft down. Tried vertical jigging to no avail. Went and threw live grasshoppers under a cork on my favorite ledge. Lost a nice smallie. Then went north and started dipping trees. I was out of practice and missed 3 before connecting. Boated a 13" crappie. Only place I got bites was timber in 11-13' of water.

They are pumping the lake. 2 groups of 2 guys were shore fishing when I arrived. They got 35 and 30 white bass. I guess a guy pulled a 25" walleye out of there too.

Good report wanna go to that lake.
