10-05-2014 Chickamauga Lake "Slab" Crappie

I fished with Jerry again this morning because we needed a few more Crappie for the fish fry we are planning.

We blasted off at sunrise and the bite was on! Ended the day catching 48 with 19 keepers. Nice thick fish! Some were so broad that you could have put a saddle on them. We did not have a ruler on board but they were about a beer can and a half long.

My best color was BGBS Opening Night with a Chartreuse tail light. 4 lb. test with 1/32 oz. jig. We fished a bluff first thing in the morning. Water temp. 72*.

Good catch I was on the chick too today. But no luck for me i don't know what I'm doing wrong. It was a cold morning.

I see a couple in there that look 2 beer cans long. Nice catch guys. :cheers2
