What am I seeing???

Granted I am still "green" at using all the bells and whistles on a DF, but I seem to get this image quite a bit. I do get some of the "arch" indicators at times but many times it this. My transducer is located on the bottom of the trolling motor so I thought it might just be picking up some of the bubbles, etc from when I am trolling, but it seems to do this when the TM is not running as well. Is this a settings problem or do I have something else going on? TM and DF are on two seperate batteries, but are attached to the same wiring block in the front if that makes a difference? Thanks in advance for advice.

Looks like scattered bait fish with the two red spots probably bigger fish. Your not going to get the arch normally with trolling motor. You will get that with a little more speed. Arch is created when beam first starts to pick up fish and then stronger as you pass over then weaker as it goes out of the beam thus causing the arch.

Thanks Cray....I am glad you told me that about the arch. I have just assumed I should be seeing them when fish were present and thought I have just been seeing interference. As always you have been a great help! !

Using a lower freq will make a difference when using the trolling motor. Switging from 200kh to 77kh made a big difference for me
