St. Johns water levels

Saw this article online about the river levels St. Johns River near overflow, due to heavy rains - The West Volusia Beacon

With all this rain & with it in the future for the next week or so, do you think any waterways will be shut down? I know the year we had TS Fay, they closed most of the river from Harney to Astor. Most of the gator hunters that I know are startin to stress about fillin their tags.

water level on Monroe today, clearance under I-4 was 44.5 feet.
That is up 6 inches from last week when I was there.
caught 10, threw 5 back, at or under 10 inches.

If they do it will be a short paddle from the Enterprise ramp to the fish in me kayak to do some stealth spiderrigging! But it will take a lot more water. That year Monroe was over the sea wall on 17-92 and close to the road. Got about 4-5 more feet to get there, and about 2,5 more feet to the top of wall last I looked.

I hope your right, I thought we were gonna get more rain this week but I guess the 7.5 inches we got on Monday was enough:crazy:

Just hope they don't get too much more down south (Melbourne) cuz all that water will come this way up river:yikes
