Take a kid fishing
Headed up to Smithville yesterday, with the son and his buddy... drowning minnows off the Little Platte Marina docks. It was a really fun day. Put 10 keepers in the bucket, plus an 18" drum (that my boy pulled in with an ultra-lite rig, that was good fun to watch) and a big ol' sunfish. Best part of the day was it was my son's friend, his first time fishing, or at least catching :highfive. I still say that reeling in a fish (sorry, setting the hook THEN reeling in a fish) is the best feeling in all of sports. Once I get the pictures to upload, I'll post them. Their smiles are priceless.
