Here's the best .......
I can come up with : (sorry - never fished the lake, myself)
DALE HOLLOW - (11/29/06) - Fishing is good. The water temperature is 51 degrees; lake is slowly falling. Lots of good smallmouth are being caught on live bait in 25-to-50 feet of water on main lake. Artificial bait bite has been slow. A few smallmouth have been caught, using the fIoat'n'fly method while fishing creek channel banks close to the main lake.. A few good fish are being caught on spin-rites and little george's on tapering points in 25-to-35 feet of water. Crappie fishing is fair using minnows and jigs around grass and brush in 10-to-20 feet of water.
And from Guide Fred McClintock :
Crappie fishing in dale hollow lake is best in February, March, and April. The most productive approach is slow-trolling jigs on long lines around shad schools, varying jig weight and color and line length until you come up with the right combination.
Guide Bob Coan's Report
Bob updates reports when patterns change. If the report is old, it is because the conditions and patterns are not changed significantly. In Summer Bob Fishes night only.
Updated November 25, 2006
Fishing on Dale Hollow is very good. Bob reports that he and Bobby Gentry have started to catch some nice smallmouth in 12 feet of water on the Float and Fly. Fish are working shallower during the early morning before the sun comes up over the hills. Shady banks are the key for the Float and Fly. Mid Day he is using Live Shiners slow trolled.
Walleye are starting to move shallower as well. Look for Walleye using long profile baits casting to shallow weed beds and to humps.
