LMAO, reminds me of the time I turned the big fan on in my workshop because I was sweating, Feathers everywhere and months later I still find them.
LOL!! We've all done something similar so don't feel bad!! Powder paint and glitter sneeze is worse!!!LOL
Ya can't leave feathers where the cat can get at them either.

LOL, first thing I learned is no Celing fan allowed! I have them in most rooms in this house and had one in that room as well, but soon learned there was no use in a Celing fan in there! Also yes sneezing or really anything that makes any wind will blow that stuff all over. Especially the way I tie it because I pull off the barbules and stack them until I get enoug for that jig and let me tell you once that stuff is pulled off the stem, it's even way easier to have it blown away!
I had a brand new deer tail on my lap once. Went to cut some hair off it and it was gone. Looked in the living room and the dog had a mouth full of deer hair and hair scattered everywhere.
I tie in front of a window unit air conditioner at the house.......let's just say I used to tie in front of a window unit air conditioner at the house. :biggrin
The Dog with deer hair reminds me of a time I was tying some hair jigs for Perch fishing in Lake Michigan. Back in those days, hair jigs were hard to come by. It was a little secret to some of us at the time. At any rate, I didn't have any white deer hair (which I needed to make the jigs). My dog on the other hand (a mix of who knows what) had a patch of white hair on his throat. Needless to say, he got a tiny hair cut. He looked dumb for a couple of months but I did manage to make 50 jigs that caught tons of fish!
I've learned my lesson with cealing fans, window fans, open windows, electric heaters and sneezing. I'm still blowing powder paint out of my nose from the last time I poured
Let me tell a little story now. I bought a full rooster from Conranch (top quality stuff) and it was just beautiful. I left it only table where I put materials I tie with and turned around to mess on the computer. Then I noticed it gone and stand up, see my dog with my full Rooster eating some of it. I freak out! In the end he only messed up a tiny bit, but if I had not caught him when I did he would have ruined the entire $200 bird! It is beautiful barred ginger color and later I adde one Cree Rooster. I bought a good many of their capes and saddles as they have some of the best quality tying hackle in the world. They were smaller than Whiting, but also had great stuff! The stems from them were not round, but oval so they wouldn't roll when tying them. Have no idea what they do now since he sold the operation to someone else, but his birds had not had any outside blood entered into his birds for over 40 years.
On other side note, that dog would love to have been able to get into my buck tails and he would have eaten the entire thing apart to get that hide! Anything that had hide on it, he wanted bad!
