Darbonne Tuesday
Made a trip to the lake because Bonnies was going to drive up later and fish. I was really wanting to fish Ouachita River but she didn't want to try and find where I was going to launch the boat. Needless to say I didn't do well at all. Caught a 7 in. bass, a yellow bass and about 1 1/4 lb channel cat. Fished between channel and bank around the old state park, under hwy 2 bridge, the flats just off the channel at Forks Ferry, between hwy 33 bridge and Terrell island boat lane and the flat out from the Terrell island boat ramp. Maybe when it cools off some will have better luck.

Was state park previously in another location? Where was it located?
Thanks for the report. Sorry you didn't have better luck.

Last time I went to darbonne the only one I caught was at the old state park slough. I figured that slough out from Terrill island would have been good but I didn't do anything there. I used to catch a lot of wp on a crank bait while bass fishing the tram where it runs into that slough. Better luck next time!
