I have replaced my johnson 500 gph cartridge and now iys leaking from the topish. Right out of the area where the two locking pins lock the cartridge in. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this its like the new cartridge is not letting the o ring seat right. I'm thinking about putting some silicone in it, we have a big tournament on saturday and its allowing way to much water leak into my bilge
For a temp fix go down to Lowes or Home Depot and get some of that tape that works even underwater.
First thing I would do is take it apart and make sure O ring is where it is supposed to be and not cut. Then use some vasoline to lubricate O ring and pump body and put it back together.
After further review im an idiot lol. O ring in wrong place putting her in the water in the morning to check for sure but it passed the hose test. Thanks for all your help
