I donated a 2001 Ford Tarus to our 16 year old. Thats as close as I have came to doing it. Use to see adds and even billboards for donating cars, boats and such but don't remember what "cause" that was for.
Only 325K? Just getting broken in. My buddy's 83 corolla is stick kickin' at 500,000+.
But thinking about it, I can't see you driving a car that looks like his.
Do you like 4x4 post wooden bumpers?
Gordon, you might try a couple of the larger churches in your area. Our church takes those kind of donations if it is in fair shape and driveable. They use them to give to people in the church that are in need and caint afford to purchase a vehical.
We have donated cars in the past, to the American Childrens Society.
Found someone in need, that I helped before and they screwed me... and I'm helping them again... :banghead<--- Hope that's not me again.
Kit, If I had a destination job to go to and park it I'd keep it. But having to visit clients and run all over tarnation and keep up some sort of "status" requires me to upgrade. Trying out my first Subaru. I have no doubt this 325k mile Toyota will last another 50-150k depending on the driver.

i tried to donate OSS for a tax deduction but they said he had absolutely no value :dono,,,,IRS and Mo Dept. Of Revenue web sites had info in the past
