Bought an Engel Bait Cooler/Aerator from Cabela's. Can't wait to try it out Friday. It's 19 quarts or 4.75 gallons. They have 3 sizes. I bought the middle size. I got tired of shiner's dying on me.

Good box. Like the sealed lid with latches. Won't let splash out in the boat when running rough water. I made mine out of an old Igloo cooler. I have to move it to the rear in those conditions.
looks good....I'm looking around for one.....be sure to let us know if it is noisy......
Its noisy if its like mine but it don't leak!!! Got mine on an another air source as well when its in the boat. You will like it I am sure!!
Very nice! Like that. My boat has a live well in the back and a bait well in the front on the deck which I like a lot. What you have will work nicely for sure!
I bought 100 shiners today. not going till friday. I wanna test this thing out. haha It was too noisy to have in the same room at work. Had to put it in the kitchen. so....it's not too quiet indoors for sure. I'll let you guys know how it is on the water. I have the water chilled to 58 degrees. Does anyone know the ideal water temp for shiners?Quote:

This time of the year you stand the risk of killing them quick when they hit 90 degree water. I keep mine in the mid 50's at night then let the water warm slowly when fishing to the mid 70's to 80's.
Went Friday and used all my shiners. Caught about 10 sacalait but threw 'em all back. They were all medium size. Garfish are insane. Hooked so many it wasn't funny.
My Engel worked great. The aerator isn't very quiet, but better then indoors.
