Don't know anything about centerfire rifles so here goes. Was wondering about a multi target longer than handgun range home defense rifle. Caliber, action etc, don't want a hi$ gun as it will just be an in house gun, have a 357 handgun and was wondering about one in that caliber. Don't know the cost of ammo or what you can find to even buy, any thoughts? Move if needed.
I would rather have a home defense pump shotgun than a rifle......and I never cared for rifles that shoot handgun cartridges....If you get a rifle get one that shoots a rifle cartridge....just my thoughts
If you are looking for a rifle to match the caliber pistol you have check out the Winchester model 94 in .357. Just read up on it is a sweet looking little gun can also shoot 38 special for target and plinking
Nothing wrong with a rifle that shoots handgun rounds just kinda pricey or crappy one. A 20 auto or pump with reduced recoil buttshot will do nicely and the Mrs can handle it just fine. Open bore and ya don't even have to do much aiming!!!:biggrin
