something simple for the beginner also for the professional.

for many years I've been tying jigs and it seems like you're always going back to something real simple but really affected so many of you will see this jig maybe is a copy of the firefly but you can tied up many different ways I posted a few pictures to show you how simple it is about five days ago I took this little guy out and tried them out in the evening we caught over 35 – fish ranging from blue gills up to a pound quite a few perch up to a half a pound smallmouth bass up to 2 pounds and quite a few crappie ranging three quarters of a pound this is a 1/64 so give the guy a little shot and tie up a few and try them out. I forgot to mention that they head is glow-in-the-dark. I know guys I didn't clean the eye out.

In a way a lot like a different color Popeye jig too! Nice tie Bob!

Bob, here in Ga. We'd call that a Popeye fly. Very popular in Tenn. I use them as a trailer in a double rig amazing how fish will eat those! Nice thread and as usual fine craftsmanship.

Bob here is my version of the Popeye jig, now I never called it a fly, but I guess smaller versions sure could be fished with a fly rod. I will tell a short story about this jig. I tied one and took it down to my bank just to see what would happen. Well in about one hour that afternoon I caught 10 big crappie out of same spot just holding my rod without casting at all. The thing that really got me was what this jig looks like when went and out of the water, it looked like a small thin stick, LOL! However the crappie love it!

Skip here's another version that we've been tying up for over 10 years for a customer locally he likes it in all black which works terrific for him yes these little guys have very little tail to wiggle I think that's what resembles small fish or maybe they just like that little bit of action that triggers that.

Of course the feather should open a little in the water, but I was surprised and just what it looked like the first time I saw it wet, LOL! I have also use this under a cork.

When I caught the smallmouth I was using a float and barely moved it just enough to give it a little twitch in the smallmouth jumped all over it but most of the fish that I caught were tight line.

Those are nice! The last one is my favorite float jig. I make a lot of those and they are killer's and simple to make. I will try to post some of mine later but mine are not as nice as some of you guy's
