I have had this chenille for a good while and just never even tied myself a jig, but was wondering if any of you ever used a color close to this and if so how did you do with it?
Thanks,

I bet it will work fine, looks like crappie food!!!
Have tied small bluegill jigs with that or quite similar colors . My favorite similar color is kreinik's (sp) peacock
I like it Skip!
I have used the black cactus chenille that has some color flash to it like that but not as much red. I have had luck with mine with chartreuse feathers and marabou flash.
I like that color!
Thanks guys, just hope it's worth me buying it as I don't buy just a card of stuff, LOL! Oh and that is a 1/8 Oz head. There are some other colors in this besides the Red and Blue, but they just don't show up in the picture well. They are less bold and more subtle.
Illinoisgiller the names people use is not from the Mfg. of the chenille, it's just a name the supplier and retailer uses. Mine are just what I want made and don't really have a name for most. I use a name if someone like New Age already had a name attached just to keep from confusing people.
Looks like a variation of junebug. I've always had good luck with that sorta color on gills.
Think it's called Mid midnight fire - got a good size piece in a trade on another board, it's nice stuff but haven't used it yet.
I like the color pattern, I would fish .
Fish will
eat that! Heck I want to eat it! Lol that IS a great color combo...as usual your out of bounds AGAIN!
