My dad hit a big pothole and tore axle out from under his 1548 flatbottom trailer. He is waiting to here from the insurance company. Just looking for some info for where to get a new trailer. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Does he need a new trailer or can he just put a new axle under the existing one? Axles are a lot cheaper than a whole new trailer.
Where are you located?
Priced a new axle and everything and that would be the cheapest way to go but the trailer only has 8 inch tires under it and they blow out a lot during the summer and at my dad's age of 76 I would like to find something that would keep him off the side of the road changing a tire. I am located in bryant but my dad is in pangburn.
Diamond City Trailers in Murfreesboro sells trailers. We have a few under boats at work. We have not had any problems with any of them.
I have a small boat trailer that had 4.80X8's on it, and I just put same hole pattern in 12" tires/wheels on it.
BTW, if you need any extra 4.80 X 8 tires and wheels, I have 5 used ones for sale REAL cheap. For a 76 y/o, I'd give him one or two!!!
