There are as many opinions about this as there are crappie fishermen. Many will tell you to mount permanent bases for extra seats up front, but that is not always an option due to storage/compartment layout. I use the Cumberland Crappie double seat mount. Double Seat Mounts It works for me, and has the added benefit of being moveable. I use it on the back deck of my boat when pulling cranks, and the front deck when spider rigging.
I use base mounts on floor and pedestal mounts on chairs then a extension pole. Run you about 60 bucks per seat. I bought tempress seats from grizzly jig 3 years ago and still the best seats I've fished out of. I put in long hours on those seats. Doesn't hurt the back or rear end. They have millennium seats that folks crave about so you might want to sit in one and try it out. I would try both out.
Cumberland Crappie Double Seat Mount and Wise Seats and you will be comfortable!
I just removed my Tempress seats and put in MilliniumMarine...lots more comfortable for me and my arthritus
Gonna have to look for it but someone just posted a set for sale. He sold his boat and the guy did not want them. Been in the last week, anybody remember seeing it??
