Any specific reason for 10 or 12 ft?
Reason I am asking is there is a load of economically priced 9 ft rods that are designed for trolling crankbaits (for walleye and trout but work well for crappie too). Diawa Wilderness, Heartland, and Accudepth; Shimano TDR; Okuma Pro Troll,Magna, Deadeye; and Cabelas and BassPro both have their brand walleye rods too.
Some of the guys on the SC site swear by the Diawa Wilderness 9'6" one. Pretty reasonable price, seems like it was under $20.
9 ft will be good I was just throwing out a length. Thanks guys I'll look those up.
Check out the Pan Fish Special 10 ft @ $14.95!
Monk
Thanks monk. Will a bait caster work on the panfish special?
If you plan on using planers in the future, you might not want to go long!!!
What does a fixed reel seat mean on a rod?
Just means the reel seat is permanently fixed to the handle wherever the manufacturer put it unlike a Tennessee handle wear you can move the reel anywhere you want on the handle.
Ok. Can you still put a baitcast or spinner reel on a fixed reel seat?
