using Yamaha Ring Free in the motor with every tank full. What are the thoughts here from those that use or dont use this product ? Looks like its gonna run pretty close to 50 bux a quart for the stuff. Dont mind paying for it but just want to make sure that it is worth the price of if its just a "Snake Oil" type product being hyped for the Yamaha 2-stroke ?

Larry that product is made by Yamaha......the Yamaha manual reccomends useing it. The smaller containers are about 15 bucks a bottle. I use it in my four strokes. It calls for one ounce for ten gallons of gas. It has to be mixed exact.....too much is not good. It helps keep carbon from building up and causing your rings to stick. If you do a lot of idling or very slow running you need it. I really think it is just for the four strokes. If you have a two stroke and you should be alright without it especially since you are not useing your outboard to troll with.
if this is what you are talking about its a very good product and works great for both 2 and 4 stroke motors !!!

I think its a 02 or 03, it came on package with G3
I have not run a drop of gas through my 90 4st without it. I mix it and marine stabil in every time I get gas. Maybe overkill, but that's ok. Not many hrs on my motor but no trouble yet either. I think it's a good investment.
