Someone told me to get Bobby Garland Baby Shad jig bodies in 2 colors; Electric Chicken and Monkey Milk. I found the Monkey Milk in Baby Shad bodies, but I could only find the Electric Chicken in Baby Shad Swim'R bodies which have a slightly different tail. How much difference is there between these two jig bodies in actual fishing? What would happen if I removed the little bit of tail on the Swim'R? Would that make it a regular Baby Shad?

Don't really know. Guess you could seeing the tail is what, .25" longer on the swim'r. Only one way to find out!
I fish both baby shad and swim'r's in electric chicken and lights out. I have not seen any difference in the hits to the swim'r and the baby shad. I wouldn't worry about trimming the tails.
