these nights dipping down into the 60's is getting me excited that it wont be long till the crappie move in shallow...
What makes you think they haven't already in some locations? We caught some a couple of weeks ago in 7 feet of water. That's shallow water to me.
shallow to me is 1-4 feet
I had a chance to go out this morning and we wound up with seven keepers. The water temp was 77 and the fish we caught were on brush 15-20' deep. They had opened the spillway and was pulling the water 7 tenths and I thought we'd do better but it turned out like the typical summer trip, catch 2-3 and they'd spook off. Maybe due to the clear water. My buddy was thrilled with the trip so it made it a good day.
