That's the way crappie do when I'm fishing.

That's pretty cool Jimmy. My Koi do that in one of my little ponds, trained them by hand feeding them worms - right out of my hand. Unfortunately, once the koi get that size, roughly 10", the big owls out here steal them. Scared one off one time and he dropped "Jack" in the yard. Jack was flopping around and Ann put him back in the little pond - he was gone a couple of days later. You can hear those owls howling at each other at night, even when a hundred yards apart. Last year I shot a large copperhead and nailed it to a tree - stood back, and sure enough, one of the big owls took it less than a couple of minutes later. Pretty cool I thought.

Sounds like you need to install one of them fancy Israeli iron domes to repel those pesky koi stealing owls :)
