I believe they taste a little different, but not in a bad way. I fished quite a few stock tanks in West Texas growing up where the ranchers would feed the fish pellets.
I used to feed mine floating catfish pellets and it didn't make a difference in the taste of the blue gills or bream in my pond.
Yes slightly different in taste

or is it just Dif ?
I can't tell the difference, but........my taster might be a little worn out.
