We are having a get-together at High Rock Lake NC next Saturday Aug 16 if anyone would like to attend. Planning to cook hot dogs before we fish and haven't decided what time we will meet up after fishing but all are welcome to attend.

We will meet around 6 at the Tamarac marina. Hope some of you southerners can come
Thanks for the invite. I am working that day but can try to make it. I don't have a partner lined up but will see who will go and give you a shout. I have never fished High Rock so someone will have to point me in a good direction if I can make it.:biggrin
We are working on details as far as start/finish times and which ramp as the place we are cooking at has a ramp but there is a public access ramp across the road. We will post details as soon as we can.
I can't make this one, but would like to later on. Just curious, how much is the NC annual non resident fishing license and is it from the date of purchase or does it have a start and end date like SC??
Just FYI, starting in Jan 2015, SC fishing licenses will run 12 months from date of purchase, instead of the June to June thing as in the past. About time, even though I have a lifetime license, this is a better way of doing it.
Ray, I paid $30 for my non resident and it goes from date of purchase. Now if I were to go to the ocean fishing in NC it will cost another $30 for non resident total of $60. It is tricky but if you only fish fresh water it's $30 bucks. If you are planning to come up here and fish NC water with us and going to High Rock too it is worth it and you can get them on line. Print out your purchase order and in a few days you will get your hard copy in the mail.:highfive
