Enjoyed your story and your post. Can't have good BBQ without a small side of jalapenos - like that. Ann and I have BBQ'd and smoked for so long, we couldn't live without it. Had homemade fresh strawberry pie with mine last night :)

No sir, not at all, keep them coming as far as I am concerned. Make your own BBQ sauce? Some of the store bought stuff is okay, try this:
Cane-Bourbon BBQ Sauce
6-oz can tomato paste
1 cup bourbon
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup Steen's cane syrup
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbls molasses
2 tbls Worcestershire sauce
2 tbls Louisiana Hot Sauce
2 tbls dried ancho chili powder (or smoked paprika if you don't have it)
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp mustard powder
Whisk together over med - high heat, bring to simmer, cooked until reduced to about half. Enjoy :)
