Bell City Drain Ditch 8/3

I went midday and kept 15. Caught them using road runners and shiners. I missed the best times due to a thunderstorm on the horizon. The past few trips the bite has been from 4 to 6 pm. I got to try out my new buoy marker I made. I used 2 1/2 wine corks. I then coated them with lock tight clear glue. The glue keeps the string from hanging up when it unravels. What I like about it is its small and I can leave a few out in my brush pile area when I am fishing and no one can see it. Attachment 170105Attachment 170106Attachment 170107

Brush piles payoff big time. I been waiting for my buddy to get in from off shore so we can sink some more with his pontoon boat. We take cypress and willow branches and push them in the mud with a push pole. We cut branches with a large fork in them and trunk about 2 to 4 foot long. No need for cement or cinder blocks.

I had to put those in my ice chest because my live well pump burnt up. Its been working over time lately.

Good post. I like your buoy markers, good idea. Unfortunately my Miller Lite cans probably wouldn't work so well - I do recycle them though :)
