Maps and water depth before they hit the water? I've been really looking on Martin to find some consistent depths in a concentrated area.
Do it all the time, find fish hitting in one spot and look for more areas the same.
I do a lot. Mostly for ditches and flats. Most of the maps of the big 4 aren't accurate when it comes to the upper ends of the lakes. Maps that show stump fields or the river or ditches has changed. The river and ditches have silted in and the stump fields have rotted away. When I see bridge pilings or something of interest I go there and look at it with sonar.
I use the Navionics program on my phone. It's nice, but doesn't cover everything. I use the Hotspot maps a lot also.
If it's a lake I don;t go to much, I do every time
I just follow Feelay
All that studying netted one crappie. Ha ha
I jus foller WB, catch my one fish like him, and go home. I consider that 'success'.
