Pass by there every trip to the beach. Would like to go one day.

I have actually driven on that track. More than 35 years ago in a IMSA 69 L88 Corvette. We calculated we were going over 190 and the Porshes were passing us like we were sitting still. The banking is really unbelievable. It is more intimidating at lower speeds than wide open. I can't go spectate. it makes me want to spend all of my money again. DP

I had pit passes a few years ago, we got to walk on the track in the tri-oval, and it was hard to stand even in the "flat" part of the track.

The race is usually amazing. You can feel the cars 1/2 mile away, and then after they pass its just unreal how fast they are going. And don't try to watch 1 car go by, because you will hurt your neck when they do... too fast.

I'm thinking we are going next spring. I can't get off the deer stand in October long enough to watch a race.
