anyone fishing around tensaw river? or up around boatyard?

Yeah, I went yesterday to Upper Bryants landing and Douglas lake. Caught absolutely nothing. Did catch a few small bream on a new fly that I tied, but not a bite from a crappie. All I did was troll. Talked to a few other fishermen and it is real slow for everyone. Going again next week to a different place (it's a secret), if I do any better, I'll post the results.

My wife and I took our 3 1/2 year old twin grandsons for there first fishing trip last Friday. We keep our camper at Lower Bryants Landing during the summer so the boys got to camp and fish. We went around to Mifflin Lake Friday morning and caught several crappie only seven were keepers but they were some of the best we have caught this summer all of the fish were over 11". The boys had a blast and were great bait getters. We were using live minnows with slip floats 6 to 8 feet deep in 12 to 14 ft. water.

Any updates on these areas? Ive never fished boatyard but heard it has/can be good.......

Never fished it but I heard there is a bunch of boat traffic during summer weekends. I have also heard Holley creek is a very good crappie spot and I think it is close to boatyard.

Went last monday in the Northern Delta around and caught one of the best stringers of bull bream we have caught all year......bayou zeast area, a few in the interstate ditch too.
