I've been fishing hard lately at Rough River lake both early and late trying to catch a few for dinner. I'm having NO luck. Any ideas? I've used both minnows and jigs fishing deep brush 12 - 18 ft. I'm lost!!:dono

I was down there on the north end of Rough a couple weeks ago with my wife and we caught a buncha short fish and a few keepers back in Calamese Creek. I was fishing off little points in about 12-15 ft water but only dangling minnows about 8 feet down. Look for any wood (stickups) in more than 8-10 ft of water and vary depth till you get bit. Hope that helps. Be prepared for small fish and lots of culling.
Thanks Killum, I'll try'em again this week!
Up till a few years ago i fished rough a lot and i can tell you it's hard to find a crappie over 7 " long they keep that lake raped hard . They do the bass the same way it's hard to find a bass 12 " or more even though the size limit is 15 .
I have to wounder that since they now drop rough to 470 insted of 475 and the lake froze from one end to the other if it didnt kill off a bunch of fish.
