Advice for TableRock?

Family vacation at the Rock next week, beautiful lake but don't get down there enough to know where or how to fish it effectively. We are staying in the Indian point area and will most likely only fish early A.M. Around that area. May put in on Taneycomo one day while the girls are shopping!!!
We will fish for anything that swims when kids are fishing, last year we had a good time with 6 trout one day, 2 bass the next day, 47 bluegills and one turtle the day after, wore me out:biggrin...... Never caught a crappie all week:dono......

We've had a place there since 1970 and the only crappie we ever catch during the summer months are off our dock on minnows 15-20 ft down. My buddy has a place on the Rock as well and they catch a good amount dropping a minnow to the bottom and slowly reeling it back up. I've seen him catch 30 a day doing that. Kinda depends on where your dock is because on our dock we hardly ever catch more than 10 a day. Some docks have crappie, some don't. Good luck!

when you come out of indian point go up the cove north, there is two of them, brush piles on the left, trees and broke off trees all over go slow. go as far back as you can and work your way out towards deep water, go slow. also good advice on dock fishing, the place you stay may have some inside info on which docks hold fish...ask...luck to ya.
