SPIDER WIRE---EZ Braid?????????

anyone else ever tried this braided line??? i tried it out and i really like it i bought the EZ Braid 20lb test and it is a 6 pound diameter its a great line especially when tight lining in structure you wont loose a jig and when the first fish i caught hit it i thought i had got hit in the hand with a bolt of lightning!!! super sensitive, small diameter, super super strong and the EZ Braid you can tie any knot and it will stay tied i use a loop knot all the time when im fishing and when im looking for them i use one of the medium sized NO KNOT clips so i can change jig colors real quick but anyway if anyone else ever used it how did yall like it??

I use it on my jigging poles and spinning reels. I like that it has zero memory for the spinning reels. You are right about the feel of the thump. It also works great with a slip cork.

Never used the E Z braid but you have to be careful with it on some jig's. It is so small and slick it will pull out of the little space in the eye of the hook. Might just double check them and give that little eye a extra squeez with the plyers. I have used all kinds of braid and love the sensitivity and strength.

Never tried the spider wire but I do use the power pro with a loop knot and yes sometimes it pulls through the gap I didn't notice in the jig eye as well

I'm sure you have to be very careful not to break your jig pole if you hang up.

I've had a couple poles snap, one on a hook set and another trying to get a jig loose, perhaps those poles were all ready compromised

Might be cheaper to loose the jig?

I've been using braid for a few years now and really like the way it fishes. I occasionally use fluorocarbon or fluorocarbon leaders.

I used the 6 or 8 lb test and all it did was stay wrapped up in my spools. Maybe the line was too lite but I thought that was supposed to be the benefit. Now I just run 6 or 8 lb monofilament.

I use braid and yes have some Spider Wire as well as Berkley, but seem to like Power Pro more and especially side last year when they came out wight their Super Slick! I use the 10/2 in all of them, but did also get some 15# that I have not tried yet.

Use spider wire and light wire hooks (Capps and Coleman) and never broke a pole, the hook will straighten on a snag. The wire is better to see bites, bur loves to wrap around the eyes on the end, and the more you try to shake it the worse it gets, you end up having to unravel by hand. Worth it though.

Personally I do not like light wire hooks, they are not fun to tie on at all. I have some, but don't use them. However my Roadrunners usually I fish in Spring will get hung, but near the top of a stump and you can just go back and pop it right off. Fishing brush piles I don't loose enough to brother me. Have a customer I have tied jigs for the last several years here. At first he never had tried Sickle hooks and he didn't loose a fish for the next 2 years so I got him to try a light wire hook and he got a big crappie on and when he tried lifting the fish it pulled off, LOL! He didn't want any more of them, LOL! However that is just 2 of us that don't care for them. I really hate tying them more than don't like them for fishing, but need to remember the net for sure.
