Bayou benoit 7/6/2014

Well I went fish Bayou Benoit for my first time ever!!! I really never leave Henderson to go find fish but Sunday me and my wife took a little ride down the levee just to see what we could do and it payed off. It started kinda slow but we finished up real good!! caught 27 and had a good time we fished the bar pits to the left of the new landing there is some drains in there and thats where I found my fish BUT!!! the thing that impressed me the most was everyone that past you in another boat slowed down!!!! EVEN THE BIG BASS BOATS!!!!! I was super impressed that dont happen in Henderson ever....... so that made it a even better trip!!!! SORRY no pics i gave my fish away to a buddy at the landing but they were nice all good size my buddy had fished the cypress trees to the left of the landing he had 17 or 18 also we both used only Jigs and nibblets he used Monkey Milk and I used Blue Thunder 4ft deep under a cork so good luck and yall go give it a try!!

Yeah they have some ignorant individuals in Henderson.

I used to fish Henny when I was in school. We used to call those the Lafayette crowd. No respect. Sometimes they come on my end, I stare em down pretty well.
