I found some off white "glow" chenille in my tying supplies. I have never tied for bluegill with this material . I tied up some using the 1/80 oz.Red Butt pattern that has been working well for me.
Have any of you used glow for bluegill ?
I'm anxious to get them wet and see if the bluegill show any interest . I tip with wax worm or salted shrimp bits. and there is a 1/2 mile of 30' deep water in the gin clear strip pit I'll be fishing.
Your experiences with this product would be appreciated.

Looks interesting, but no help from me as never fished that kind of water.
I like a red but on a bluegill bug, red gets bluegill to strike out of instinct, especially on beds, imo.
The only advice I can offer is to tie up some dark bugs and jigs like that the same size, and see which work best. I've used jigs that size a lot, and you'll be surprised at the size of fish that will hit them sometimes. Good luck.
Thank you for the responses. I already tie this pattern in other colors and have had good results with them. Lately the white had been producing deep ,so when I came across the glow I thought I would give it a try. If possible, I'll be testing them tomorrow.
Over time I have heard positive results for crappie.
The olive and darker green ones would be my pick for where I fish.

Nice little jigs. So far I have not seen much difference in the glow chenille over the others. Look forward to hear your report on it.
My float tube and I both decided bucking a wind gusting to 25 was a bit over the top . They are calling for better tomorrow. I wish I knew how to get rid of the duplicate image.
