Darbonne gathering. it's time to start planning!!

hey fellas. I finally got a few days off work and I spent a little time this morning exploring the website that reserves cabins at darbonne. we still have lots of options, except for the weekend before thanksgiving. those are all booked up already with only one cabin still available. I know last year we ran into an issue with the park wanting to paint the cabins the weekend we selected. so I think it is a good idea to go ahead and vote on a weekend and then lock our cabins down. I will put a poll up by the end of the day and run it for two weeks. this should give us plenty of time to get our cabins booked and start looking forward to the fun. if yall have any input, please share it. gosh knows I am ready for a weekend of lip jerking. and eating. and door prizes.

Well.....there has been a small change of plans. I talked to SLAB, ed moes, the owner of crappie dot com. I asked him if there was any way he could attend. He told me that he would be at the Mississippi gathering the weekend of 18 October. He said if we piggy backed on that weekend, and had our gathering the next weekend there was a really good chance he could attend. No guarantees, but he would make every effort to be there. So I have talked to several of my trusted CDC members and the unanimous decision is to just set the date so SLAB can possibly attend.

So our Darbonne gathering will be the 24, 25, and 26 of October. I have checked the website and there are plenty of cabins available. But they tend to go quick. I will post a link to the site to reserve your cabin.
