,Heres three,mabey four things you dont see every day(counting the cane pole) I did a litttle "old school" fishing with a cane pole,cork and catawba worms,,caught a couple warmouth and brim on the catawba worm.

Heres a little snapping turtle(cooter) He may be small but he is as mean as a big one,notice the water nozzle for a size comparison

Nothing wrong with a little old school fishing, thanks for the pics and report. Regardless of size, snappers are mean.
Good report. I have been tempted to pull out a cane pole for some bream and crappie fishing.
Them worms have about eat all the leaves off my trees , we used some last night catfishing, them broad river cats like them.
Plenty of cane around here where I live. Haven't fished with one since I was a boy. Thanks for the reminder that one doesn't have to have the most expensive rig to fish and have fun!
Hard to beat catawba worms for bream. Anybody have any tricks for keeping them for long periods of time?
I freeze them in water, I put them alive in the refrigerator let them die then put them in water and fruit fresh, still using some from last year. Once I unthaw them I keep cool and disgard them unused after the trip.Quote:
