4th of July Fishing Report

Well hit the Tebow arm about 6:30 this morning and it was perfect. A slight ripple and a little fog. Had 3 nice keepers in 15 minutes. Then the wind went away and it was like glass and boy did it go south in a hurry. Dippin trees in anywhere from 8' to 15'. A couple of dinks in the next hour or so. Went to all the cedars at two fingers, lots of boats but didn't see much going on, not a bite. Went back where I started and talked to Bulletman and his daughter, they had 4. I gave them my 3 and we drifted and talked for a few. Then Tommy caught a nice one and I decided I would take my black cat azz on home so he and Megan could get a few. My advice would be two things: 1. EVEN IF YOU WANT TO DIP, TAKE THE RIGGING STUFF WITH YOU ANYWAY AND 2. CALL THE FISHING HOTLINE......1-800 CALL-WYATT!!:biggrin

All in all, it still sounds like a fine day on the water.

Megan and I enjoyed the visit Double D, we ended up with ten plus the three you donated. If any of y'all gat a chance to visit with DD do so as his knowledge and wisdom is more than worth the price of admission! :biggrin

Speck you are so right, a day fishing is like a day duck hunting, it just don't get any better. :ThumbsUp

His wisdom is worth 2 cents and his knowledge is worth 1 cent, so if you want to waste 3 cents, call him, he don't know two hoots from a holler......

Sounds like a good day. I had to bow out for the 4th after yesterday getting into it with a drunken pleasure boater. I will let the crazies do their thing. And give it a week to get back to normal.

Nice report. Sounds like the water was great for riggin. Riggin the flats can be challenging, but the rewards can make it worth it.
