Panther Boat
We used to see a lot of boats on Santee they had the name Panther on them. They were two man boats running 25-40 HP motors. When we were down at Crescent in February we saw one built just like them with no name. I am looking for a line on a builder or a used one for sale. They look like a Geenee type boat but bigger and more stable.
I tried to find a picture of one but could not.
Thanks

There are several High Tides and a couple of older Bug Busters on the SC craigslist which are similar in style. My buddy who has a cabin at Sumphole on Santee has a Big Buster from the 70s with stick steering and a 20 Merc.
The High Tides are a bit more stable and roomy than the BB and will handle a 40 HP a little better, but there are several other similar boats and they pop up on the SC craigslist from time to time. I've even seen a couple of Panthers on there(put Panther in the search bar on Craigslist). Just be careful to insure the floor and transom are solid. That was a weak point on some of the older ones. My buddy needs to replace his floor before he can use his again.

Riverhawk B72 maybe? Gheenoe now has the Lotide 25 and Super that are bigger than the old school Gheenoes. Royal makes a nice one as well.

Does anyone have a pic handy of the panther?

Go to Craig's and search for Panther in the boats section. There are several in the SC listings. Here is a rather fancy one.
1995 PANTHER 2 MAN BOAT
Most are basic 2 seat stick or tiller steer fishing boats with a 20 to 30 HP motor.

If I was in the market for this style boat I would look at the High Tides. They are still around and a good solid boat. Here is one in my hometown.
