Just relocated from Holmes County in NW FL to Gainesville to start my bachelors degree at UF.
If there are any forum guys on here that fish the Gainesville area I'd be happy to hear any insight you have.
If anybody on the forum needs another hand on the boat I'd be happy to tag along if our schedules work.
I rode out and checked Newnans Lake today. Seems like a nice place. Mostly really shallow with a lot of vegetation. Plus it's close to my apartment so I plan on hitting it up in the kayak.

You will have a lot of snowbird slab chasers down there in the Fall.

I have never been but I hear that Newnans, Lockloosa & Santa Fe are good speck holes, wish you luck !!
Yep dont overlook Sante Fe. Got some nice Cypress trees on the south end.
