Moving to Lakeland, would like to meet others who fish for Crappie

Hi,

I'm a old timer who loves to fish! My wife and I will be moving to lakeland Florida soon. Any suggestions on where to meet other fishermen who like to fish Crappie's?

WE HAVE Lakeland FISHERMAN AND WOMEN COME TO OUR SLABFESTS IN THE FALL AND WINTER. THE LAKE MONROE AREA WILL PROBABLY BE FIRST LOOK FOR IT ON THE FLORIDA BOARD. LOVE TO HAVE YOU AND SEND A PM TO FLYCASTER OR SPECKANATOR

Got a PM from Pescador. Answered best I could with areas of shore fishing in Lakeland area.

I'm in Lakeland, kind of out of commission for a few months now though...

But there's plenty of good lakes around... Tenoroc, Saddle Creek to name a few... Lake Kissimmee is about 40 miles, it's around 35, 000 acres and very good. There's plant of good lakes.

I fish a lot with the Orlando area guys, but the Tampa area has a good group also.
