Scouting new Catfish holes
Water to rough to jig fish and I was on the Arkansas River to bait some new spots. Nimrod still high and falling. I tested the waters with an ultralight rod & reel using 6 lb line. Fished night crawlers on #6 Bream hook and a split shot. I caught them every cast for about 8 hours and left them biting. Kept a limit (20) and released several times that many. Was hoping to find some goods ones for guided trips when my home lake is not good. Hard to believe no big ones but good pan sized ones must be stacked up like cord wood there .:fish
