My wife and I headed out on June 14th to fish a little while on the north end of Kentucky Lake. We found a brush pile in about 25 foot of water that held several crappie. We fished for about four hours and caught 19 nice fish with double hook crappie rigs and minnows. We would have stayed longer but the recreational traffic was making the water too choppy. Hey that's OK we had had our fun and it was time for those folks to have their's. It was a great day.

I was out for a while Sat afternoon and the boat traffic was about enough to make me want to sell my gear and take up knitting. You have a better attitude about the rec traffic than I do. Yes, they have the right to be out there but to share the same same 120 square feet of space my boat takes up at the exact same time is not my idea of a good time. I did do the one-finger salute to a moron who ran right thru my trolling lines with his race boat running 70 mph. He and all his drunk friends thought it was really funny.
Congrats on the catch. I ended up with 12 keeper crappie, 2 lmb, 1 nice sauger and lost an even larger one at the boat (banging a 20 inch sauger off the transom is not conducive to being able to put it in the livewell), and a bunch of catfish. Got to cook it all for Father's day for the family.

Where is the cleaning station? I don't think I ever seen one on the lake.
That cleaning station is at Hillman Ferry Campground in Land Between the Lakes.Quote:
