Not a crappie but...
My brother took my daughter and i to a private lake over in Missouri saturday and my 10 year old got this fella while we were out in the rain. The look on a 44lb 10 year old little girl when a mid 10lb (estimated) largemouth hits her ultralight crappie rig...well its priceless.
I have a pic on my phone of it laying beside her reel before we put it back. That is the size reference....its side fin is as big as her abu g. The "zing" sound was something! Her face (as if that drag wind meant she had done something wrong) made me the happiest dad on the planet at that moment.

WHAT A FISH!!!!! That's just awesome
-
Congrats to her. She'll be hooked from now on.

Wow!! I used to take the niece trolling cranks in our HOA lake, she hooked a 10" bass, about 5' from the boat a bass like that, the mouth looking 8" wide, came up and chomped that smaller bass and ran off, it held on so tight that she fought it for a couple of minutes, that smaller bass was still hook and was completely scaled by the time she landed it.

Fish of a lifetime right there....congrats to daughter and dad, both!
