Lone Star Lakes... Butler tract.

1/64 oz unpainted minnow head Jigs and Gulp 1/2cm Cricket was the only thing that would get a bite. Tried everything from 1/8 oz to 1/64 oz jigs with every color in the rainbow... including my go to Cajun Cricket and BGBS Blue Ice. A lot of surface bugs so I tried the Gulp Cricket and BAM First fish was a Bass.

No Crappie... a few Bass and a lot of Bluegills.

Fished from 8am until 3pm.

First trip in the Kayak.

glad you got out and caught some fish.i was on pontoon boat yesterday and saw a guy on a kayak and he was texting,i rode up to him and said you can't text and drive,we all just laugh:biggrin

OMG! This changes everything. A buddy warned me about a stock market correction around 17000 and now Doug goes fishing at 16908. Tomorrow should be a heck of a ride..
