Blood River trip

Just got back tues. night. Good trip, weather was cold sat and sun, but mon and tue were great. Caught a decent amount of Crappie from 18" down to 11". No dinks !! Caught a few sauger and yellow bass, and the ocasional drum. All in all a great rip, can't wait till next spring. Probably done with the "southern" fishing for the year, a couple more trips to the ole mississipi then it's deer hunting time !!! I have some pics, but they are to big to download, so if anyone can tell me how to make them smaller I'll give it a try.

Open in "paint"....... Click on "image".......Click on "Strech and Skew"......Enter the percentage (try 50% on hor. and vert.) I usually R. click on the Pic and copy the pic then edit the copy.

Go to articles and read the one LABill wrote. you will have to resize the article will explain.

Nice fish!!! I have fished blood river area a few times in the spring not the fall. What area of blood river was you fishing? I have fished around the Paradise Resort area and caught some nice ones in the spring haven't gotten to get up there this fall. But might have to make a trip now.:)

We where fishing mostly steep ledges in 14-20 ft of water. Some spider rigging, but most caught jigging off the bottom. We also got into quite a few decent Sauger useing this same method. Did pick up some nice slabs on brush in 10-14 ft fishing from 7-9 ft deep on mon and tue. when the sun got out and the weather warmed up a bit. Most fish where caught on light colored jigs tipped with a live minnow. They also seemed to strike with a .3-.5 mph boat speed.

As a side note here's a few Walleye and sauger we got into yesterday up here.
